Today Yehuda and I went to Yaakov's Chanukah play. We were so excited to see him perform- he has been singing all the songs at the top of his lungs for weeks! We were also excited to see how much the same and at the same time how different Amira and Yaakov's nursery shows were- same amazing teachers, very different children, 3 years apart!

If I had to pick which of my kids was shyer, not a question it would be Amira, but she performs happily, with a smile and loud-ishly, while Yaakov, well- you can see for yourself...He pretty much stood with a frown the entire time and didn't sing a word, and as soon as it was over he ran to us begging us not to leave. Sigh. The costumes were adorable, the rest of the kids performed admirably and we are very grateful to have the same wonderful teachers for Yaakov as we did for Amira!
well, it's clear that Yaakov doesn't believe in kol ish...
ReplyDeleteseriously, i know we've said this before, but our yaakovs are two peas in a pod! we had yaakov's mesiba tonight, and he too had been singing all the songs and waiting with great anticipation for the party. and tonight? stood silently with a very serious look on his face, not singing, not dancing, just standing there for twenty minutes. sigh.
